ABOUT ME

Nolan Cheng is a Cantonese-Canadian animator based in Vancouver, BC. Currently studying 2D + Experimental Animation (BMA) at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, he is orienting his practice around digital animation with a focus on visual development and compositing.Accompanying his animation practice, he has creative directed projects like a second-place American Scholastic Award-winning yearbook. Through self-directed initiatives and animating for Low Tide Properties, he aims to explore creative direction and project management.Cheng works across a range of subject matter, drawing from his Cantonese heritage as well as fictional, futuristic realms. He blends contemporary and experimental animation practices, creating a visually iterative production pipeline.
